Safari Lodge sits just beyond Monarto Safari Resort, positioned along the edge of the Wild Africa plains – where the landscape opens wide and the experience feels closer, more immersive, and entirely its own. This is the adults-only side of Monarto. Quieter. Slower. A little more considered.

The tents are the centrepiece. Canvas on the outside, but inside – it’s all softness and detail. A king bed (or twin), a proper lounge, a dressing space that invites you to unpack and stay a while. Everything opens outward to a private deck, where the view stretches across Wild Africa and wildlife moves freely through the distance.

At the centre of it all, the lodge brings everything together without trying too hard. A restaurant and bar that carry you from long lunches into slow dinners. Private dining spaces when the moment calls for it. Pools – both open and tucked away – for the heat of the day. A gym, a pickleball court, and outdoor lounges that let you drift between doing something and doing nothing.

This is the kind of stay where everything’s already taken care of – so you stop thinking about it.

You arrive, get your bearings, and pretty quickly find your way back to the lodge. A drink, something small to eat, that first moment of settling in.

Breakfast pulls you out eventually. Slow, easy, nothing rushed.

The day stretches from there – time in Monarto Safari Park or back at the lodge.

The sunset safari is the one thing that pulls you out of stillness – open air, golden light, moving through Wild Africa as everything starts to wind down.
